Iron Range teen wins gold at World Archery Youth Championships

A 15-year-old Minnesota archer competing with Team USA took home the gold medal at the World Youth Archery Championships Saturday. Hibbing's Breanna Theodore – and her teammates Dahlia Crook and Cassidy Cox – beat Team Mexico in the finals by a score of 228-217. Theodore told TeamUSA.org it was "incredible" to shoot with Crook and Cox.

Huskerz dominate in Southern Plains Football League regular season

The Southwest Huskerz have secured the best regular season record in the Southern Plains Football League's regular season. The Worthington-based squad is 6-0 after knocking off the winless North Iowa Bucks 48-12. With the win, they wrapped up home field advantage for the playoffs. But there's still one regular season game left, Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Tri-State Buffalos.

Minnesota golfer named Summit League Newcomer of the Year at NDSU

Natalie Roth, a golfer from Lake Park Minnesota and Detroit Lakes High School alum, was named Summit League Newcomer of the Year for her freshman performance at North Dakota State University. Roth led the Bison with an average of 76.71 this season, and tied for fourth place at the league championship – the highest of any league newcomer.
