Nisswa: Prep golfer fires 8-under 64 for possible record
Dane Sethre-Hofstad of Moorhead High School set what's believed to be a course record at the Pines at Grand View Lodge on Thursday. His 8-under round of 64 might even be a state record. He had 10 birdies on the day.

Grand Marais: Epilepsy does't stop Cook County baseball player
Jamie Wick was 16 when he had his first seizure. Now, two years into a diagnosis of having epilepsy, Wick is hitting about .415 for the Cook County High School baseball team, and he's not letting any of his seizures – which are nearly under control – slow him down.

Rochester: Ex-MN prep star dominating 4X400
Kammy Goedhart, formerly of Rochester, is a four-time All-American in the 4X400 relay for Olivet Nazarene University, which is just south of Chicago. Despite her accomplishments in the relay race, Goedhart was stunned as a freshman when her coaches asked her to anchor the relay rather than run the 100 and 200-meter dashes, which she did so effectively as a Minnesota prep star.
