The latest on MN's Tyus Jones, Rashad Vaughn leading up to the draft

Tyus Jones and Rashad Vaughn helped put Minnesota high school basketball in the spotlight as two of the most sought after recruits in the country, and just one year later they're putting Minnesota back on the map because they're going to be picked in the NBA Draft on Thursday night.

Jones, the Apple Valley-turned-Duke star, is working out the Denver Nuggets today, per ESPN's Marc Stein.

According to Darren Wolfson, Jones' workout with the Nuggets will be his last. He's also worked out for the Rockets, Mavericks and Bulls.

When he hears his named called in the first round, Jones won't be at the Barclays Center in New Jersey attending the draft. Instead, he'll be back in the Twin Cities celebrating with family and friends, Wolfson reports.

Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune adds that being drafted by the Wolves would be a dream come true for Jones, but the odds of that are slim. Jones is expected to go in the middle of the first round; so even if Minnesota packages the 31st and 36th overall picks (second round picks), they probably won't be able to move up high enough to get him.

Rashad Vaughn

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the former Robbinsdale Cooper-turned-UNLV standout is shooting up draft boards. He's spending part of his Monday working out for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Per Fox Sports North, Vaughn, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, worked out for the Timberwolves last week, but like Jones, Vaughn is now expected to go late in the first round so Minnesota will likely need to make a trade if they want him.
