The Mountain from 'Game of Thrones' is in town for Vikings-Packers

If you're a Spaniard with a grudge, best stay away from U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, because The Mountain is in town for the Vikings game.

That's right, Thor Bjornsson, who famously plays Ser Gregor Clegane on HBO's Game of Thrones, will get the Vikings fans hyped before kickoff Sunday.

The strongman and actor will put his ludicrously broad chest to good use as he summons the breath to sound the Gjallarhorn inside the stadium, before leading more than 60,000 fans in the "Skol" chant.

It's not surprising that the Mountain has made the trip to Minnesota. He was involved in the initial promotional video when Iceland "transferred" the Skol chant to Minnesota.

The chant first attracted international attention when it was performed by Icelandic fans during their country's fairytale run through the Euro 2016 soccer championships.

And with Minnesota having its own Scandinavian heritage, it was fitting for the Vikings to share the chant during the NFL season.

Bjornsson is a native of Reykjavik and was the winner of Iceland's strongest man for six straight years between 2011-16, finishing in the top three of World's Strongest Man on three occasions.

Perhaps his most impressive achievement came in 2015, when he broke a 1,000-year-old record by carrying a 30-foot, 1,433-pound log on his shoulders for five steps.

The previous record for log carrying was also held by Icelander Orm Storulfsson in around A.D. 1000, who carried a log weighing more than 650 pounds for three steps before his back broke.
