If you missed the Wild game on Tuesday night don't worry – you didn't miss much.

Minnesota fell 1-0 to the Vancouver Canucks in a painfully slow game from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The shot count doesn't tell the story either, as the Wild outshot the Canucks 29-25, but the loudest cheers – from the a near sellout crowd of 18,000 – came when shots went wide of the net.

"Obviously, we played not to win," said head coach Bruce Boudreau after Minnesota's lethargic performance. "We played (like) to tie the game and you can't play that way."

After things were tied through the first two and a half periods, Vancouver got on the board when Jake Virtanen scored for the Canucks.

The Wild received a power play shortly after, but the man-advantage didn't last long as Jason Zucker took a penalty 60 seconds later, which killed the momentum.

Minnesota had one more opportunity with a 6-on-4 advantage for the final 19 seconds of regulation, but the team still couldn't capitalize.

Minnesota will try to get back on track on Thursday when they host the New York Islanders.
