The Minnesota Wild snapped its three game losing streak with an impressive win over the Blue Jackets, 3-0 in Columbus Sunday.

After a scoreless, defensive first period the Wild came out strong in the second with a pair of power play goals.

Ryan Suter took a feed from Jared Spurgeon and Jason Pominville and fired a wrist shot into the back of the net for the games first goal. Rookie forward Charlie Coyle's snap shot on the power play put the Wild up by two goals at 15:03 of the period.

The newest member of the Wild, Jason Pominville, capped the scoring with a wrist shot -- his 11th goal of the season -- at 18:35 of the third period. It was his first goal as a member of the Wild.

Niklas Backstrom posted the shutout, stopping 24 shots on goal, including 12 in a fiery third period for the Blue Jackets. Not a bad response for Backstrom, who lasted just over three minutes before being pulled in his previous start against the Kings.

Former Wild star Marian Gaborik, who was traded from the Rangers to the Blue Jackets last week, had four shots on goal -- all of which came in the first period.
