Throwback Thursday: Vikings use 'trickery' at Seattle in 2006

This week's edition of "Throwback Thursday" takes fans back to a 2006 game between the Vikings and Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

It was a wild, wacky game that featured three NFL rarities. It all started when the Vikings decided to run a half-back pass from running back Mewelde Moore to tight end Jermaine Wiggins. The play resulted in a 15-yard touchdown to put Minnesota on top, 17-10 in the third quarter.

The audio highlight from KFAN's Paul Allen includes Allen describing the play with "some more trickery from the mind of Brad Childress." Childress was in his first year with the Vikings at the time.

Minnesota's next score in the game was rare 95-yard touchdown run by Chester Taylor. Then, in the fourth quarter, the Vikings sealed the game with a defensive touchdown by Kevin Williams.

The Vikings won 31-13 to improve their record to 4-2. Unfortunately, they would win just two more games, finishing the season 6-10.
