The Timberwolves started out strong, putting up 11 points right away and holding the New Orleans Pelicans to one; but once that lead slipped away, the Wolves couldn't regain it. The Wolves lost to the Pelicans 92-84 at Target Center Friday night.

That's 10 straight-losses home-court losses for the Wolves - the league's worst team according to The Associated Press. New Orleans has had its own dry spell - with Friday's win they've now put together two straight victories for the first time in weeks.

“We’ve just got to keep on playing and playing the right way and focus on getting better. We’re beyond looking at the amount of losses and everything else,” Timberwolves Coach Flip Saunders says, NBA.com reports.

Gorgui Dieng had a double-double for the Wolves with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Rookie Andrew Wiggins looked tired, putting up 13 points going 6-for-16 in shooting.

"I think he's physically and mentally just worn (out)," Saunders told the Associated Press. "I think he's hit the rookie wall a bit. Somehow we've got to find a way to go right through it. He's got to find a soft spot in that wall and we have to bust right through it."

Thaddeus Young scored 15 points, and Mo Williams came through with 12 points and 10 assists for Minnesota.

Next up, the Timberwolves head to Atlanta Sunday.
