The Charlotte Hornets are hot, and they didn't cool off against the Timberwolves as they trounced Minnesota 105-80 Monday afternoon in Charlotte.

It was the Hornets' seventh win in their last eight games. They were led by Gerald Henderson with 17 points and Brian Roberts with 16, the Associated Press reports.

Thaddeus Young led the Wolves in scoring with 18 points. Rookie Andrew Wiggins, who's been a scoring machine lately, had an off day with only 12 points on 3 of 13 shooting, and had only two rebounds, according to the Associated Press.

And Mo Williams, fresh off his being named the conference player of the week, scored 10 points and had 2 rebounds.

The Hornets led 50-33 at halftime, and the Timberwolves (7-33) were never able to close the gap. Their lead reached 30 points at the end of the third quarter.

The Wolves turned the ball over 17 times, and have now lost four of their last five games against the Hornets.

Minnesota hosts Dallas on Wednesday at the Target Center.
