Week four of the high school football season is once again filled with marquee match-ups. While the first three weeks of the season have been lacking in drama, this week is sure to bring some fantastic finishes.

Hey everyone it's Joe Nelson from FM 100.3 KFAN's Paul Allen Show and believe it or not, the prep football regular season will be halfway through after Friday night's action. This is a huge week for quite a few teams trying to make the statement that they belong in the conversation with the best.

#5 (4A) Bemidji @ Brainerd
Brainerd lost by a strange score of 8-3 last week at Sartell-St. Stephen. The Warriors rarely lose two games in a row. If they do this week it will be two straight against 4A opponents.

#10 (5A) Hopkins @ #1 (5A) Eden Prairie
Despite their lofty ranking, Hopkins is a big underdog in this game. Football critics will learn a lot about 5A if Hopkins can stick with the dominant Eagles. Three of the next five Royals games are against ranked teams.

#4 (2A) Jackson County Central @ #9 (4A) Marshall
Marshall always has trouble getting around JCC. Marshall quarterback Alex Fenske says this game is all about "revenge."

#8 (5A) Lakeville North @ #7 (5A) Rosemount
Nobody really knows if either of these teams are for real. Sure, they're both 3-0 but they haven't played any stiff competition.

#6 (4A) Mahtomedi @ Totino-Grace
Whoever put together Mahtomedi's schedule obviously wanted them to play two extremely difficult opponents in a row. The Zephyr's lost to St. Thomas Academy last week and now they have to go into T-G territory. However, Mahtomedi did win this meeting last season.

#8 (4A) Hutchinson @ Waconia
What more do you need to know about the importance of this game than it was chosen as a finalist for one of the KARE 11 games of the week?
