Today's Sports Clip: Foye hits best buzzer beater of the season

Minnesota sports fans will likely remember the name of Randy Foye. Foye was a former first-round pick – seventh overall – by the Boston Celtics, who traded him on draft night to the Portland Trail Blazers, who then turned around and traded him to the Timberwolves for Brandon Roy.

The trade looked like a complete whiff by Kevin McHale, who was Minnesota's general manager at the time. Roy wound up winning NBA Rookie of the Year in 2006-07 and was voted an All-Star three times (2008-2010) before chronic knee injuries forced him to retire. Foye struggled with injuries in three years with the Wolves, averaging just 13 points per game. Minnesota traded him following the 2008-09 season to the Washington Wizards.

Bleacher Report called the Foye/Roy trade one of the worst moves in Wolves history.

Fast forward to present day. Foye is in his first season with the Denver Nuggets, and he's playing really well. He scored 33 points in a loss to Al Jefferson and the Charlotte Bobcats last week, and on Monday night he beat the Clippers one of the most impressive game-winning, buzzer beaters of the season.
