Twins aim to slow down first-place White Sox

The Minnesota Twins will open a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox on Monday night at Target Field. The Twins swept the Cleveland Indians this weekend, outscoring the tribe 28-6 in the series, a nice turnaround after being swept in the windy city last week. Twins righty Cole De Vries and Jose Quintana will face off for the second time in less than a week.

The Minnesota Twins will open a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox on Monday night at Target Field, the Associated Press reports. The Twins swept the Cleveland Indians this weekend, outscoring the tribe 28-6 in the series, a nice turnaround after being swept in the windy city last week.

The Twins will send rookie righty Cole De Vries to the mound for a rematch against Jose Quintana.

Francisco Liriano, who was traded to the division rivals, is scheduled to face his former teammates on Tuesday.
