Twins: Arcia to rejoin team after Mastroianni put on DL

It's been and up and down week for Twins prospect Oswaldo Arcia.

Not emotionally. We're sure he's fine.

We're talking up and down, as in... up to the majors Monday morning for a game to replace Wilkin Ramirez (who was on paternity leave), but sent down Monday night after Ramirez returned ... and now back in the bigs because someone on the roster got hurt.

That someone was speedy outfielder Darin Mastroianni, who was put on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a left ankle sprain.

Mastroianni was supposed to start Tuesday night, but manager Ron Gardenhire scratched him from the lineup when he saw him limping during batting practice, according to the Pioneer Press.

That means Arcia, who made his major league debut Monday night against the Angels, will return to the team to take Mastroianni's spot.

Arcia is hitting .394 with three homers and eight RBI at Triple-A Rochester, according to Fox Sports North.

How will Arcia be used? The lineup combinations seem endless, according to the Star Tribune, especially with Gardenhire on record saying that he wants to use Arcia as much as possible while Mastroianni is out.
