The Twins took a 2-0 lead in the second inning as Trevor Plouffe hit his second homer in as many days and Eduardo Escobar hit a sacrifice fly to score Oswaldo Arcia. They made it 4-0 in the fourth when Jordan Schafer hit a two-run homer, his first since joining the Twins in early August, notes.

Schafer went 2-for-4, and scored again on a sacrifice fly by Kurt Suzuki in the ninth.

The White Sox scored twice in the fourth on four straight hits off May. They also got a home run from Jose Abreu, who hit a solo shot in the ninth inning off closer Glen Perkins, who got his 34th save, according to the Associated Press.
