Get ready, Twins fans, baseball's No. 1 prospect Byron Buxton is starting Sunday against the Texas Rangers.

The Twins announced Saturday they have called up the 21-year-old Buxton from the AA team in Chattanooga. The outfielder starts Sunday, which is great timing for the Twins who are short in the outfield with Aaron Hicks injured and Torii Hunter serving a two-game suspension.

The Twins drafted Buxton as the No. 2 draft pick in 2012. He was 18 when drafted and a high school student at Appling County High School in Georgia. In 2013 Buxton was named Baseball America's Minor League Player of the Year, FOX Sports reports.

Buxton suffered from some injuries in the 2014 season, but he's bounced back and is leading the Southern League in triples (12) and batting .283, the Pioneer Press reports.

Buxton has also stolen 20 bases out of 22 attempts and scored 44 runs, according to FOX Sports.

Buxton starts in Sunday's game against the Rangers at 2:05 p.m.
