The Twins missed the chance to extend their lead atop the AL Central to 7.5 games as they lost 6-2 in extra innings to the Cleveland Indians.

The Twins had a 2-1 lead as late as the 8th inning, but the bullpen was unable to hold on as Cleveland forced extras at 2-2.
In the 11th, Roberto Perez singled off of Brusdar Graterol, who was making his Target Field debut, to score Yasiel Puig.
Francisco Lindor and Oscar Mercado followed up with consecutive singles off of Graterol and Trevor Hildenburger respectively to score three more.
Francisco Lindor had given the Indians a third-inning lead with a solo blast off Pineda, but RBIs from C.J. Cron and Jorge Polanco in the 4th and 5th respectively put the Twins ahead.
The Indians leveled things up in the 8th via a Yasiel Puig sac fly off of Sergio Romo.
