All is quiet with the Twins as the MLB Winter Meetings are into the fourth day of activity.

The rest of the league has been wheeling and dealing; the latest from MLB Trade Rumors.

  • Jason Heyward could be headed to the Cubs or staying with the Cardinals.
  • The Orioles' offer to slugger Chris Davis is off the table, per ESPN.
  • Dominating lefty reliever Tony Sipp is staying in Houston.
  • The Dodgers have ended their pursuit of a trade for Aroldis Chapman.
  • The Rockies are willing to trade star outfielder Carlos Gonzalez.

The Twins are still in the market for an outfielder and bullpen help, La Velle Neal III of the Star Tribune reports.

Sano pulled from winter ball

According to Twins Daily, the Twins have told Miguel Sano to stop playing in the Domincan Republic's winter league.

"When prompted, Sano told reporters that he received the news from the organization on Tuesday that they would like him to no longer participate in the league. The message was that the team wanted Sano to rest so that he could enter spring training at full strength. Sano said that he wanted to continue to play for his home country but would respect the wishes of his employer."

The Twins are moving Sano to the outfield next season. Sano's new objectives from the Twins are to work on outfield drills and lose about 20 pounds to get down to 250 pounds for spring training, which begins in just over 70 days, the Star Tribune reports.
