The Twins stranded 11 runners on base as they lost 3-2 to the Orioles at Camden Yards in Baltimore Saturday night, reports.

Starter Kyle Gibson allowed four hits and gave up just one run in five innings, but had to pitch out of a couple of jams as he walked three batters and threw two wild pitches, according to the Star Tribune. The run scored when Jimmy Paredes hit a ground-rule double in the fourth inning with no outs.

Minnesota tied the game in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Oswaldo Arcia, but Paredes hit a solo homer off Brian Duensing in the sixth to regain the lead for Baltimore at 2-1, according to

Joe Mauer tied the game again in the seventh with an RBI single. But in the bottom of the seventh, Twins reliever Jared Burton hit Adam Jones with a pitch and gave up a single to Nelson Cruz. Chris Davis followed with a sacrifice fly to center to bring Jones in from third for the eventual winning run.

Danny Santana had two hits for the Twins and has 40 for the month, most among all rookies, according to the Associated Press.

The Twins have lost six of their last seven games and 10 of their last 14, while the Orioles are on a bit of a hot streak, winning five of their past six. They also lead the Yankees by eight games in the AL East, the Associated Press reports.

The Twins, meanwhile, are 17 games under .500 at 59-76 and in last place in the AL Central.

The two teams play again Sunday and Monday before the Twins head home for a two-game series against the White Sox beginning Tuesday.
