The Minnesota Twins announced their minor league players of the year on Thursday. Infielder Brian Dozier was named player of the year while right-hander Liam Hendriks was named pitcher of the year.

Apple Valley sophomore point guard Tyus Jones was named the Minnesota Associated Press boys basketball Player of the Year on Tuesday. Joining Jones on the AP All-State team: Siyani Chambers of Hopkins, Joey King of Eastview, Tyler Vaughan of Braham and Johnny Woodard of Duluth East.
