Oswaldo Arcia made his major league debut Monday against the Los Angeles Angels, singling in his first at bat and going 1-for-3 on the night.

After the Twins' 8-2 win, Arcia was sent back to Triple-A Rochester, as the man he replaced -- outfielder Wilkin Ramirez -- was set to return from paternity leave.

"I'll take away how we play the game here," Arcia told reporters after the game. "I'm ready to go and try to help the team again."

"He's fun to watch," manager Ron Gardenhire added. "He'll get his time here. He'll get plenty of it here."

Arcia, 21, was the Twins' 2012 Minor League Player of the Year. This year, he got off to a torrid start in Rochester, hitting .414 with three home runs in nine games with the Red Wings.
