Kendrys Morales hit a double in the top of the ninth inning to drive in the winning run as the Minnesota Twins snapped a 10-game road losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Rangers on Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Texas, MLB.com reports.

With the victory, the Twins won their first game in six tries.

Morales hit a line drive just inside the foul line in left field, bringing pinch-runner Sam Fuld across from first base. The ball nearly hit a security guard who leapt out of the way at the last moment. If the ball had touched the guard the hit would have been a ground-rule double, which would have forced to Fuld to stop at third base, according to the Associated Press.

Rangers' closer Joakim Sora struck out the last two Minnesota batters in the inning.

Twins starter Kyle Gibson (7-6) pitched eight innings, giving up eight hits and one home run to get the win. Glen Perkins struck out the side in the ninth for his 20th save in 23 chances.

The Twins return to Target Field to open a three-game series against the Royals Monday at 7 p.m.
