The Twins slugged three homers in the first four at-bats of the game and wound up hitting six blasts in a 10-2 road win over Cleveland to snap a four-game skid.
Byron Buxton and Josh Donaldson started the game with back-to-back homers. Nelson Cruz then walked before Jorge Polanco ripped a 426-foot homer against Cleveland lefty Logan Allen.
Buxton went 5-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and two singles. The former No. 2 overall pick is tied for the MLB lead with 8 home runs this season. His fourth hit of the day was an infield single in which he reached a sprint speed of 31.6 feet per second.
Willians Astudillo homered in the third inning for the Twins, and Mitch Garver hit a pair of bombs into the left field stands in the fifth and seventh innings, the latter giving Minnesota a 10-2 lead.
The victory snapped a four-game skid but is only the third win in the past 16 games for Minnesota, who improved to 8-15 this season.
