The Twins are expected to announce the September call-ups on Friday. Teams are allowed to expand their active rosters from 25 to 40 players for the final month of the regular season. Double-A prospect and 2008 first-round pick Aaron Hicks, an outfielder, is expected to be one of the players called up.

Twins finalizing September call-ups

The Twins will put the finishing touches on September call-ups when infielder Eduardo Escobar and reliever Luis Perdomo join the team on Tuesday. Escobar was the main player the Twins received when they traded Francisco Liriano to the White Sox. Nick Blackburn and Brian Dozier will not be recalled from Triple-A Rochester.
