Update 9:20 a.m.

The Twins have traded Jaime Garcia to the Yankees for minor league right-handed pitcher starter Zack Littell and left-handed pitcher Dietrich Enns, a news release says.

Enns, 26, has a record of 1-1 with a 2.29 ERA (39.1 IP, 10 ER), 10 walks and 37 strikeouts in seven starts for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.

Littell, 21, has combined to go 14-1 with a 1.87 ERA (115.1 IP, 24 ER), 23 walks and 109 strikeouts in 20 appearances (18 starts) between Single-A Tampa and Double-A Trenton this season.

The Twins will make a corresponding 25-man roster move at a later date, the release says.

Jaime Garcia is about to be traded from the Twins to the Yankees, according to multiple reports.

Jon Heyman was the first to report the pending deal, which has not been finalized. ESPN's Buster Olney says the teams are "at the 1-yard line," meaning there's very little that could keep the deal from being finalized.

What the Twins will receive from New York is unclear.

Minnesota traded with Atlanta for Garcia on Monday. He made one start and led the Twins to a win over the A's on Friday by tossing 6 2/3 innings while allowed three runs on eight hits.
