Twins, Trevor Plouffe agree to 1-year deal
Trevor Plouffe will be back with the Twins this year.
The 29-year-old infielder agreed to a one-year deal worth $7.25 million, the Twins announced. The agreement means both sides avoid arbitration.

Plouffe hit .244 last season, but set a personal single-season high in hits (140), RBIs (86) and runs scored (74).
He played in 152 games, and his .972 fielding percentage was third among MLB third-baseman.

He was originally drafted by the Twins, with the No. 20 pick in the first round back in 2004.
