Kevin Correia struggled with his command and the Twins lost to the White Sox, 5-2 Friday night at Target Field.

The Twins actually jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Joe Mauer's 11th home run of the season in the first inning. His 11 home runs is his third highest season total. Mauer launched 28 homers in 2009, and 13 in 2006.

Correia's lead quickly vanished when he gave up a two-run double to Dayan Viciedo in the second, and solo home runs to Jeff Keppinger and Adam Dunn in the third.

Correia settled down and pitched 7 1/3 innings, giving up four earned runs on nine hits and one walk.

Minnesota's only other run came on an RBI single from Brian Dozier in the seventh. Other than that, they couldn't get to Chicago starter, Jose Quintana. The left-hander tossed 6 2/3 innings, allowing just six hits while striking out seven.

Saturday's game features a nice pitching matchup with lefties Andrew Albers and Chris Sale. Albers has started his career with the Twins with 17 1/3 straight scoreless innings.

First pitch at 6:10 p.m.
