Twitter doesn't think Alan Page is 'notable' enough to be verified

He's an NFL Hall of Famer and a former Minnesota Supreme Court justice ...
Alan Page notable tweet

Alan Page is in the NFL Hall of Fame and, not just a retired Minnesota Supreme Court justice, but the first African American to hold that position. A school in Minneapolis bears his name, and in 2018 he was honored with a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Twitter doesn't think he's notable enough to earn the "Verified account" blue checkmark.

Page posted a screenshot of a response he apparently received from Twitter, saying his account could not be verified because it "did not meet our criteria for notability."

"As a result, we could not reliably verify that the account associated with the request is a notable person, organization, or brand," the message reads.

Page kept his response brief, tagging Twitter in the process, writing: "Not notable! Hmmm.! #notnotable."

Page's tweet has been met with utter disbelief.

Hopefully someone at Twitter will fix this quickly.
