The University of Minnesota Board of Regents has approved the gameday sale of beer and wine in its TCF Bank Stadium. Beer will be allowed in premium seating as well as in a marked-off section of the west-end plaza of the stadium for general seating. It will only be sold one hour before kickoff until the end of halftime.

The University of Minnesota's Board of Regents is expected to vote this week on a resolution to allow "beer or beer and wine sales" in the premium-seating section of TCF Bank Stadium and in a single "beer garden" during Gopher home football games. The vote is expected to wrap up years of debate about whether and where alcohol ought to be sold.
