Thinly disguised in a hat and glasses, Olympic star Lindsey Vonn recently fooled the skiing masses when she went undercover in a Vail, Colorado, ticket office.

Most customers didn't recognize the gold medalist as she name dropped herself, talked about Minnesota, easily spoke German with several tourists and had people sing for free tickets.

"I've been fired from pretty much every job, so I feel like this is my calling," Vonn told one customer about her brief gig as an employee at Vail Mountain. She also told one ticket buyer she was from Minnesota, playing up a Minnesota accent.

Multiple times Vonn told ticket buyers, "I hear Lindsey Vonn might be on the mountain today, so you should keep your eye out. Maybe one day you'll run into Lindsey Vonn."

The not-so-subtle hints didn't clue customers in on who they were talking to. But at the end of the video, shocked patrons are told it was Vonn all along.

Said one customer: "Get the hell out of here, seriously? That was Lindsey Vonn? Can I go back in and say 'Hi' to her?"

The video was promotional – Vail thanked GoPro and Red Bull for helping make the clip, according to the mountain's blog.

Vonn didn't participate in this year's Sochi Olympics after tearing a ligament in her knee, but she was a correspondent for NBC at the games. In January, fresh off knee surgery, Vonn vowed she'd compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

In January, Vonn adopted a puppy that also had a hurt leg.
