The Minnesota Lynx have been celebrating since Wednesday night's 69-52 victory over the Indiana Fever locked up their third WNBA Championship in five years.

As if the private dance party with Prince at Paisley Park wasn't cool enough, the team gathered Thursday for a congratulatory phone call from President Barack Obama.

Obama joked with the team asking if they were "going to get tired of doing this," after their third WNBA title in five years.

The president added that they play a great team game, and winning how they did, on a night when their leading scorer, Maya Moore, struggled from the floor goes to show "they are operating the way that basketball is supposed to be played."

He noted that their championship is the culmination of another incredible season.

The president, a well-known basketball fan, also invited the Lynx to the White House for another congratulatory ceremony.
