A national audience will get another good look at the Vikings when they play the Giants in a Week 16 game at TCF Bank Stadium.

The NFL announced late Monday night that the Vikings-Giants game has been flexed to 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on NBC as the Sunday Night Football game of the week. The game was originally scheduled for a noon kickoff, but because both teams are vying for playoff spots – and possible division championships the game was moved to prime time.

The NFL's announcement:

"The Giants at Minnesota Vikings game on Dec. 27 has been moved from a 1 p.m. ET start to NBC'sSunday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens matchup, which was originally scheduled to be played Sunday night, will be played at 1 p.m. ET on CBS."

Week 16 could prove critical for the Vikings, who could clinch a playoff spot if they reach 10 wins – and beating the Giants would be win No. 10 as long as Minnesota takes care of business this Sunday at home against the Bears.

There's still a chance the Vikings-Packers Week 17 game will determine the NFC North division title, so that game could be flexed to a prime-time position, too.

The Vikings and Bears kick off this Sunday at noon.
