In what will be a lead up to to their preseason game at U.S. Bank Stadium, the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars will get together for joint practices in Eagan during training camp.

The teams announced Thursday that the joint sessions will be Aug. 15-16 at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in the Eagan headquarters before playing each other Aug. 18 in Week 2 of the preseason.

Both practices will be open to the public but fans will need to reserve tickets in advance. The Vikings are expected to make those available in the coming days, although maximum capacity each day will likely be around 5,000.

Minnesota and Jacksonville finished with the two best scoring defenses in the NFL last season and both lost in their conference championship game.
