Lester Bagley, Vice President of Public Affairs and Stadium Development, says the Wilfs are "extremely frustrated with the situation."

Bagley told the newspaper "it would be ideal to build a stadium next door and play in the Dome." If the team plays at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank stadium, it could cost an estimated $48 million for up to three seasons.

Dayton: Vikings stadium deal may not happen until next week, if at all

Governor Mark Dayton won't use the word "optimistic," but he says he's "hopeful" that a Vikings stadium deal gets done soon. But an hour long meeting on Tuesday ended with Dayton saying a deal may not be finalized until next week, if at all. However, Dayton and Vikings' owner Zygi Wilf agree that the "number of issues that remain are limited, and can be overcome if all the parties are willing.”

With the Metrodome lease expiring at the end of the season, the Vikings have agreed to meet with Minneapolis officials to discuss building a stadium in the city. The Vikings, although willing to talk, remain dedicated to building in Ramsey County.
