Vikings' Patterson, Bridgewater went to Wild game together

Could this be the start of a long, successful, quarterback-wide receiver bromance? Maybe.

The Vikings drafted Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater Thursday night. About 18 hours later the 21-year-old was in Minnesota (along with fellow first-round pick Anthony Barr), meeting the media and talking about his goals and expectations with the Vikings.

While at Winter Park, second-year wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson showed up to greet his new teammates – and apparently help them get acclimated to Minnesota. So he quickly brought up the Minnesota Wild – and invited the new quarterback to the Blackhawks-Wild Game 4 that night.

Bridgewater, a Florida native, had never been to a hockey game before, and told Ari Hasan he accepted Patterson's invite. A few hours later the two had ditched the VIkings purple for Wild green, and were at the Xcel. (After Friday's win, by the way, the Wild are undefeated when Patterson attends.) Bridgewater took a selfie for good measure.

A budding bromance? It very well could be.

Hockey-Happy Patterson

Patterson has been a vocal Wild fan since going to the Xcel last year – his first ever hockey game, he explained recently to the Star Tribune. Since then he's been obsessed. During Game 7 of the Wild's series against the Colorado Avalanche, Patterson tweeted he'd take a fan out to eat and watch the game if the Wild won. Then he changed plans – offering to take a fan to Game 4 against the Blackhawks. That fan (@bearcave94 on Twitter) also got a photo with Patterson.

Here's Patterson getting his cheer on during the Game 4 win.
