Vikings players start following Kirk Cousins on Twitter

Maybe they're DM'ing the soon-to-be free agent QB?

Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives as fans waiting and wondering if Kirk Cousins will sign with the Vikings.

The latest tease comes via Twitter, with Vikings pass catchers Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph suddenly following Cousins on the social media site.

It is by no means earth shattering that two NFL players are following another NFL player on Twitter, but it is a little too coincidental considering Cousins tweeted about picking where he gets to play less than 24 hours ago.

It's even more intriguing because of the many reports linking the Vikings to Cousins we have seen over the past week.

Oh, and there's the fact that the Vikings don't have a quarterback right now, with Case Keenum, Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater heading towards free agency without a deal in sight.

Then again, Diggs follows Carson Wentz and Russell Wilson, among other quarterbacks, and they're not coming to Minnesota anytime soon.

The Vikings must have a pretty good feeling about their chances to sign Cousins considering they didn't franchise tag Keenum before Tuesday's deadline.

Either way, fans won't have much longer to wait, with teams able to offer free agents contracts this coming Monday, before they're able to sign next Wednesday.
