University of Minnesota regents approved a deal that would allow the Minnesota Vikings to play at TCF Bank Stadium while the team's new home is being built. The board would likely vote in late summer on a lease agreement.

The Vikings have agreed to a letter of intent to play at TCF Bank Stadium when construction of the new stadium removes the Metrodome as a possible playing venue. The Vikings will likely begin playing on the college campus in 2013. Each game will cost the team $300 thousand dollars, or $3 million/season.

Minnesota Vikings season ticket holders recently received an e-mail survey from the team, asking if they would be willing to pay significant sums to secure the best seats in the new downtown stadium. The Star Tribune reports that selling personal seat licenses is one option the team is contemplating to raise cash. The Vikings' share of the construction cost is put at $975 million.
