Starting right tackle Brian O'Neill has agreed to a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings.
Terms of the deal have not yet been confirmed, but O'Neill said during a Wednesday press conference that it is a five-year deal, with ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting that it is worth $92.5 million.
Minnesota drafted O'Neill in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He started 11 games as a rookie and hasn't looked back, making 42 starts during his three seasons as a pro.
According to Pro Football Focus, O'Neill has allowed just five sacks in 1,702 career pass blocking snaps. He graded as the 11th-best right tackle in the NFL last season, including fourth best among right tackles in run blocking and 37th among all tackles in pass blocking.
"This is the most excited I've been about an offensive line here and hopefully we'll be able to see the results but we've got to go out and prove it," O'Neill said, Wednesday, raving about new starting right guard Oli Udoh.
