The Minnesota Vikings still have an offensive workhorse in running back Adrian Peterson, but clouds of doubt are forming over quarterback Christian Ponder. How will the 5-3 team do the rest of the year?

The future looked bright a few weeks ago when the team was 4-1. The Vikes are probably still a playoff threat, but the outlook doesn't seem as good, Mike Nelson at Bleacher Report says. He offers this prediction: 9-7. Best case: 11-5.

BR calls for losses to the Seahawks, Bears (one of two games), Packers (one of two games) and Texans.

Tyler Essig writes in Bleacher Report that fans should not cry for backup Joe Webb to replace Ponder. Instead, Webb should play wide receiver, he argues.

Would a trade do the team good? The Viking Age examines whether the Vikes should pursue Braylon Edwards.
