With the regular season less than two weeks away, the last thing the Minnesota Vikings need is another injury to an offensive player. Unfortunately, that's what they might be dealing with.
According to reports, wide receiver Adam Thielen limped off the practice field in Eagan on Tuesday morning with an apparent injury to his left ankle. The severity of the injury is unknown, although ESPN's Courtney Cronin provided a glimmer of hope by saying Thielen was able to walk off without assistance.
Thielen led the Vikings with 91 receptions for 1,276 yard and four touchdowns last season, and he has yet to miss a game in his four years in the NFL.
Kendall Wright took Thielen's place on the first-team offense once Thielen went down.
Minnesota wraps up the preseason with a road game Thursday against the Titans. They open the regular season Sep. 9 at home against the San Francisco 49ers.
