The U.S. men's hockey game against Russia will be replayed on NBC Sports Network at 5 p.m. today.

Overtime wasn't enough to settle the instant Olympic classic between Team USA and Russia on Saturday.

The game came down to a shootout, and it was settled by Warroad, Minnesota native T.J. Oshie, who scored four goals on six shootout attempts including the winning goal in the eighth round to lead the Americans to a 3-2 victory in Sochi.

"It was a little nerve-wracking, but I got through it," Oshie told NBC Sports Network after the game, and he added a message for his hometown. "Thanks for the support," he said, "and Hockeytown, USA – what more can you say?"

Russian captain Pavel Datsyuk scored the first goal of the game with 9:15 left in the second period. Cam Fowler's goal a little more than seven minutes later tied the game for the U.S. Joe Pavelski's power play goal gave the U.S. a 2-1 lead midway through the third period, but Datsyuk struck again a few minutes later to tie score.

With 4:40 left in regulation the Russians seemingly broke the tie when Fyodor Tyutin's blast from the left-point found its way past American goalie Jonathan Quick. But the goal was waived off when officials ruled the net had come off its moorings. NBC Sports Network's announcers said the goal would have counted in the NHL, but international rules say otherwise.

A little over two minutes into the overtime period, the U.S. got a clean breakout when Pavelski found Patrick Kane flying down the center of the rink all by himself, but Kane's shot was saved by Brobovski. Kane had another A-plus scoring chance with 30 seconds left in overtime, but his backhanded attempt in front of the goal was once again saved by Brobovski.

Zach Parise and Ryan Suter of the Minnesota Wild played well but didn't tally any points.

Here's a review of the shootout.
