Thursday's Under Armour All-America high school football game featured many of the best prep recruits in the nation playing against each other on ESPN.

One of the recruits was Minneapolis Washburn star running back Jeff Jones.

Jones, who was named Minnesota's Mr. Football last month, added to his hardware by earning his team's most valuable player award, according to ESPN.

Jones gained 72 yards of total offense and caught a touchdown pass late in the game. He played for Team Nitro, which lost to Team Highlight by a score of 31-21.

The Gophers have received a verbal commitment from Jones, but he recently scheduled college visits to Florida and Michigan State. It's also believed that Jones still has interest in Iowa State, according to the Pioneer Press.

ESPN's Recruiting Nation ranks Jones as a four-star recruit.

He was a late addition to the All-America Game, but Jones made a terrific impression during workouts, according to ESPN's "On the Trail" blog, via the Star Tribune.

As a late addition to the Under Armour Game, we were excited to have Jones join the roster. He has impressed with size, speed, strength and overall versatility. In fact he was so new that his practice jersey did not have a number on Day 1, but everyone and their brother was asking, "Who is that kid?" due to the fact that he stood out with his play. The Minnesota commit is unlike anything the Gophers have on offense right now and is a blend of power and speed inside and out.

Jones finished his prep career at Washburn with more than 4,668 rushing yards and 92 touchdowns.
