Watch: Gopher hockey player shatters glass

Look out!

Crashing the net in hockey is a good thing. Crashing the glass however is not.

Gopher men's hockey forward Brannon McManus did exactly that on Saturday at 3M Arena at Mariucci while trying to avoid a check.

It took about 10 minutes to clean up and replace the glass, according to team reporter Jess Myers.

It might be something Gopher Athletics should look into because they picked up a 2-1 win over Notre Dame.

It's been a down year for the Maroon & Gold, posting a 14-15-14 record with two regular season games left on the schedule.

If the the Gophers want to return to the NCAA Tournament, it's likely they'll have to win the Big Ten Tournament, which would grant them as an autobid to the field of 16.
