The Minnesota Lynx visited the White House and President Barack Obama Thursday afternoon to celebrate their 2013 WNBA Championship. It was the second time in three years the Lynx met Obama.

The president laughed and chatted with the players and took photos with a Lynx jersey that read "Obama."

Forward Maya Moore made her sixth trip to the White House – Obama joked that she had her own wing in the building. The 2013 WNBA Finals MVP made three trips to the White House during her time at the University of Connecticut and was with the team for their first trip in 2012. She also made trips for an individual honor and for winning the Gold Medal at the 2012 Olympics, according to MinnPost.

Moore told MinnPost that the trips to the White House never get old. She also said she and her Connecticut teammates got to shoot around with Obama during their trip in 2009. The team was unable to shoot around with Obama in 2012, but Seimone Augustus told MinnPost she is hoping the team will get to shoot with him this time.

The Lynx head next to Atlanta for a rematch of the 2013 WNBA Finals. The Lynx are already on their way toward another WNBA championship, winning eight of their first nine games and owning the best record in the WNBA.
