Miguel Sano hit his first career Grand Slam, and it came at a crucial moment for the Twins.

Having rallied from 5-2 down in the 2nd game of the series vs. divisional rivals Cleveland, the Twins entered the top of the 8th down 5-4.

A double from Jorge Polanco scored Max Kepler, who had advanced to second on an error.

Nelson Cruz was intentionally walked, and Eddie Rosario walked after.

Reliever Nick Goody came in to face Sano, who went after his very first pitch – and boy did he hit it.

It gave the Twins a 9-5 lead in the 8th inning. A win for Minnesota would see them go 5.5 games ahead.
