Wet floor forces Wolves to postpone Monday night's game against Portland
The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken the unusual step of postponing their game Monday night, because of court conditions at Target Center – moments before the game was supposed to tip off.
On their Twitter account, the Wolves said that humidity was causing condensation – mostly on the walkways around the court.
Target Center usually doesn't have ice underneath the basketball court, but the arena just played host to Disney on Ice over the weekend and it is scheduled to host the National Collegiate Hockey Conference tournament March 17-18.
According to the Star Tribune, players from both teams expressed concern about the conditions prior to the game.
"It's really slippery," Wolves forward Shabazz Muhammad told the newspaper. "You can't play on that."
The Wolves say fans with Flash Seats tickets will automatically be sent the tickets to the rescheduled game via Flash Seats once a new date has been announced.
All fans should visit Timberwolves.com for more information on how to exchange the seats.
