Whalen, Lynx open season Saturday at Target Center

The journey to a third consecutive WNBA Finals appearance starts Saturday as the Minnesota Lynx open the 2013 season against the Connecticut Sun at Target Center.

Minnesota won the title in 2011 and lost to Indiana in the Finals a year ago. Now that they're not the reigning champs, they're accepting the role of an underdog.

The Star Tribune reports that with three Olympians -- Lindsay Whalen, Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore -- the Lynx still look like a team that can win a title.
