What in the world of sports!? MJ's 'flu shoes' sell for record price

If it's going to cost a person $12 to buy an old school pack of Michael Jordan Hang Time Bubble Gum, imagine how much it would cost to buy the pair of shoes Jordan wore during his iconic "flu game" in the 1997 NBA Finals.

Jordan, despite suffering from flu-like symptoms, poured in 38 points in a Game five win over the Utah Jazz. He labored up and down the court but somehow, someway, found a way to come up with the game-winning shot. Scottie Pippen had to basically carry Jordan off the court at the end of the game.

It's gotta' be the shoes, right?

Apparently, because the shoes Jordan wore during that game were sold at an auction for a record amount of money.

$104,765. You read that correctly.

It's an incredible amount of money for a pair of shoes. It shattered the previous record of $31,070 paid for a pair of shoes – also worn by Jordan, according to Pro Basketball Talk.
