White Sox hammer Twins' bullpen, win 11-4

Cole De Vries gave the Twins a chance to win, but the bullpen was blown apart in the seventh and eighth innings -- giving up nine runs and allowing the White Sox to come from behind for an 11-4 win. Josh Willingham provided the Twins’ firepower with his 24th and 25th homers of the season.

The Twins bullpen blew another late lead in an 11-4 loss to the White Sox last night. Chicago lit up Tyler Robertson, Casey Fein, Jeff Gray and Anthony Swarzak for nine runs over the seventh and eighth innings. It ruined another good start by Cole De Vries -- he allowed just two runs over the first six innings, only one of which was earned.

Josh Willingham provided some positivity for the Twins as he blasted his 24th and 25th home runs of the season. His first homer was a solo shot, the second was a three-run homer.

Willingham is now seventh in the American League in the home run race. Adam Dunn, who homered again for the White Sox, has 30 to lead the league.

Willingham's 72 RBI ranks second in the American League. He trails Josh Hamilton of the Rangers and Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers -- who are tied for first with 81 RBI.
