The number one offseason question for the Minnesota Wild is obvious: Who will be the team's starting goalie next season?

Niklas Backstrom is a 35-year-old unrestricted free agent that will undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia on Wednesday; Josh Harding is under contract, but battling multiple sclerosis; Darcy Kuemper is coming off a rookie season in which he played in only six games. has a list of every free agent goalie the Wild could take a look at this offseason.

Ray Emery is going to be a free agent. He's currently backing up Cory Crawford in Chicago, where he posted a a 17-1 record with a 1.94 goals against average -- third best in the NHL.

By the time next season begins, the starting job could belong to any of the three goalies currently on the roster. The Star Tribune reports that with a "fuzzy" goalie situation this summer, "it might be best to re-sign Backstrom."
