Andrew Wiggins recorded his first career double-double and the Timberwolves (5-16) snapped a six-game losing streak with a 90-82 home win over the Portland Trail Blazers (17-5) Wednesday night at Target Center.

Wiggins scored 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting and grabbed ten rebounds. Corey Brewer was the other star of the game. He scored 19 points to go along with eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. Brewer was a perfect 10-for-10 at the free-throw line.

After a sluggish start in the first quarter, the Wolves got a boost from Shabazz Muhammad, who scored all 11 of his points in the first half, two of which came on a big dunk in transition.

After the game, head coach Flip Saunders said Wiggins played like the No. 1 pick – which he was in the last NBA Draft. The rest of the reaction over Wiggins' game was positive, too.

Up next, the Wolves host Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
